I'm one of those outliers, weighing in at 350, and riding a Marzocchi Bomber Z1 air on my Norco Torrent HT A2. Upgraded from 150mm of travel from my previous fork to 160mm, and set my psi at 110. I can't even describe how good this fork is. I glide down the chunkiest of rocks. I LOVE this fork. Although I've never ridden a Fox 36, I do have a RockShox Lyrik on my Rocky Mountain Instinct at 160mm. I really can't distinguish the differences. They're both buttery smooth.

what sixe frame did you get?

z2 on my bike im a big dude, and im always on the last 1/4 of the dampning dial. I'm thinking about going to the z1, I want the beefy chassis. and yea I should probobly use the tokens on my fork. I like it better than the fox34 as it feels more stable to me, and I have more confidence. I have a mix of trails around me from good climbs to fairly gnarly Dh stuff.

Great channel, Your style of riding is what I aspire to do, but will never attain! Own a ‘20 SB, great bike, I’d totally be into changing parts but I wouldn’t know what to do in relation to what I’d like to change or how exactly to relate that. I’m 5’9” and ride the medium , been encouraged to go longer on the stem ,but have resisted, now wondering it shorter would be better,this bike can seem big in tight spots. Ironically I found your channel from a video a friend sent me about some spandex clad XC weenie in Indiana complaining about how he didn’t understand the point of a bike like the SB. Rip on Garth!

DJI has already had drones banned, I'd stay away from Chinese products until WWIII is de-escalated. They are actively hacking our resources and services, I would not trust their devices.

Rock steady is the sweet spot. My video is not this shaky. I do wish for a wider angle lens adapter such as the max on GoPro. The reliability is what wins for me with DJI over GoPro.

Yes, yes, but GoPro has the GoPro Quik App, unlimited cloud storage, and cool editing features like auto highlights, automatic edits, and cool free music to add to your videos. I don't think anyone else offers that much cool stuff. Nice riding as always. ❤

Your other gopro footage looks more premium and not as choppy, although the osmo looks a little bit crisper. The gopro footage is much easier on the eyes.

A think that many will find a con is it's Chinese brand, and if using phone all it might connect to Chinese servers, some will be afraid just to use this camera connect it to the pc. I see this is a major concern with DJI drones. So obviously for OPSEC militaries that use DJI drones wipe it use custom firmware.

Hey Jeff, I have an Osmo 3 and am pretty happy with it, I know you usually use open face but mine works well on full face chin mount. Are you getting a better range on the Pivot now than when you first started?

pretty sure dale stones videos are all recorded on action 4 and it looks as good as gopro 12 but whats up with this dji?

I much prefer 4k30, I've found setting a min shutter speed of 1/200 really helps with the stabilisation as well.

With your riding speed and roughness of the trails you definitely should get the Stuntman chest mount over the chesty made by GoPro. You can see the camera flopping around in both GoPro and DJI shots.

Yeah - the side by side is not flattering for the Osmo. The stabilization looks a couple of generations behind what gopro offers. Even without the highest mode (which works well with their wide-angle-mod lens). All in all I enjoy the gopro images a lot more. But for me the best mix between image quality and ease of use is delivered by by the i360 x3.

I hated how my Hero7, although it supports 4k, quickly overheats on any setting beyond 1080p 60fps.

Sharpness, detail, color saturation go to the GoPro, audio goes to DJI.

Reality aside, the Osmo 4 is more detailed. I still prefer a bit more stabilization, the way using a gimbel does. I prefer the Osmo's HD detail trailside than the GoPro. They're fine, but once you get used to HD, there's no going back. That detail is why the file sizes are larger. Since storage is cheap, and more available on the same size card, I'd venture to say well be seeing more of that direction in the future. Video file compression, like compressed audio is just a shell of it's former self.

Getting sea sick watching. Thinking something is wrong w the stabilization. Footage is very jerky. In fairness to DJI I haven’t seen it w other UA-camr vids. Post production issue?

I cant help but notice how the colors seem to pop more on the GoPro. Am i the only one seeing this? It also seems like the stabilization is slightly better on the GoPro, though i think it would be hard to notice if they were both mounted to a helmet cam. It also seems like the DJI preforms better at low light in terms of stabilization. The DJI also seems to handle the bright sun a bit better.
